When your out on the water whether it be a lake, river or any waterway. Please Know that Water Patrol Officers are here to protect you and your Friends and family. If you are stopped by an officer and you or your friends have had a few to many to drink, know that they are not there to cause trouble or be rude. They are only going to be aggresive toward you , if you act aggresive toward them. We all get to spend our days in tank tops flip-flops and trunks. They have to drive around in full uniform's when its 98 degrees out. DO THE MATH they may be short and to the point with you because they want to ensure your safe and want to send you on your way in a safe manner. If you get stopped by one of our Water Patrol Officers because they want to check for life vest's fire extinguishers and more. Thank them for looking out for your well being. They are people just like you, they just drive cooler boats with cool flashing lights.
Also Missouri law States : You MUST have one sober person able to maintain control of your vessel if the rest of you are drinking. Stay safe and Enjoy what our beautiful waterways have to offer
